 To find out if you can ride your bike on a public roadway, you have to look up your own state motor vehicle statutes.  Yes, even though your state may not call your e-bike a motor vehicle, it will still need to obey the traffic laws. Which I will probably never bother to carry on the bike, because you shouldn’t need it.
